Angela Bassett, Mary J Blige, Wood Harris to Star in Lifetime Movie

The movie is called "Betty and Coretta" and tells the story of Dr. Betty Shabazz and Coretta Scott King, the wives of civil rights leaders, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King.  The movie will air on Lifetime.

Wood Harris just joined the project and will be acting as Malcolm X.

Harris says of his role," I’m surprisingly very prepared for the role,” he told Blackfilm.com. “When I auditioned for New York University and I got in, I used my Malcolm X speech. I was very much into being Malcolm. I think people will be surprised to see me as Malcolm X because I’d probably do a great job at it.”

Martin Luther King will be played by Malik Yoba.
